Stress test results - Scared!

My cardiologist, Dr. Ghani, had his office nurse call me just now to tell me that my heart ultrasound was good, however they found an abnormality in the tip of my heart that will require an angiogram to see if there is blockage or if there was a false positive on the pictures.  So, they can't give me cardiac approval for my sleeve surgery until after they get the results from that and if they fiind anything I may have to have a stent.  I'm so upset, I feel like turning to food for comfort, like I normally do, am having a hard time dealing with this news.

Liz - hang in there hon!  Do something else that HAS to get done - laundry, clean etc.  But don't go into the kitchen!!   I know it is hard to get through all the steps and when there is a "issue" it is magnified so much by our own heads.  The thing you want to remember, especially with the WW surgeons is that they are going to do as many tests as it takes to make sure you will have a successful outcome.  You do not want to go into this journey not knowing if something is wrong.  Even if it puts off your surgery for a short time, it is for the best and you will be the better for it in the long run. I know you know this, but I can tell you are down so I get to repeat it!  Hang in there!  This week is support group, so be sure you come on Thursday so that you have friends that can help you overcome this SMALL setback.   We are all here for you....BIG HUGS!!  R

Liz, It's all going to be okay. I know that you are scared, but it is better to check this out before you have the surgery. I know what you are saying about turning to food for comfort. It has always been our friend, but it is really the enemy. Choose healthy foods and hang in there.((((HUGS))))

Sorry to hear about the snag... But, be glad that if you do need a stent that they are finding out NOW rather than when you are in the OR and have a complication because of it!! Take care, Dot

The road has many bumps in it but it is sooooo worth it. Better to get things lined out now.
