Shan Pureed was hard, not gonna lie. I tried applesauce, but it killed me. You may do okay with it. I bought a turbo blender from QVC (I'm an addict) and used it to puree whatever my kids ate. Once you get past the texture and you realize that it tastes just the same, it's okay, it just took me a while to do that. :)  I made turkey and gravy and pureed it, it looked nasty, but man was it good! I'm also trying to get used to people watching me eat like I'm a sideshow act. Good times. :)

YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THAT DREADFUL HAIR LOSS ANYWAY !!      At month 3-6 will be the worst........Thats where I'm at now............but Im not getting in all my protein lately too....... I would suggest the ISOPURE waters at GNC or Vitaminshoppe !!          The blue one is the best. How about some Chocolate protein whey.....................blend in with skim milk and a little bit of chocolate smoothie mix from walmart  (I only use about 1/4 of the pkg at a time - you get these in the produce area...they are $.84 ) and you have a very chocolatey shake............thick too 10oz of skim milk - something like 10 g protein?  not sure chocolate whey - 20g............ = 30 grams of protein in approx 12-15 oz of fluids................. its taken me about 2 hours to drink this shake...cause it is just sooo sweet......   GETTING MY FLUIDS IN DAILY IS MY PROBLEM !!       GOOD LUCK
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

One of the things I do is thin my protein drink down so it's like flavored water.  The New Directions Strawberry at Dr. Keith's office is very good, but the directions say mix it with 8 oz of water....it's just too MUCH, so I make a 16 oz glass with it and sip it-hey, it's extra water.

Same with the Isopure and Unjury-I use one scoop to 16 oz of water instead of 2 to 8.

It takes longer to drink, but it's more enjoyable.
