Has anybody seen Russell?
Russell is doing awesome! He is down over 100 lbs and is one of those MODEL patients! Just ask him - he'll tell you! He's been really busy with work and kids so he hasn't had a lot of time on the computer. I'll tell him that everyone is asking about him though!
He came to Support Group (the early one) last month, but I don't think he is going to be able to make one this month. I know he had a great time at last months though.

Thanks everybody! We know some of the same people and grew up in a similar lifestyle..small town, farm, etc. I met him at one of my post op appointments on his sleep test day.
I'm so glad that he's doing well. I was amazed when he went home drinking 64 ounces..I only just became able to do that. Tell him I said hi! I missed the support groups due to having "late night library" on that night for students who procrastinate in doing research for ther papers until the last minute.
Cat - he is doing so well! He wanted to make the last support group meeting but that drive is a killer from the Panhandle and we already had plans for him to come to the city for the weekend as well. As of yesterday morning he was down 106 and over the past couple of weeks I have broken my plateau and lost another almost 15 lbs (since stopping the carbs! they are evil!) and with a little incentive from Russell as well. I'm blaming him but a lot of it was I want to be a good support system for him and if I cannot be compliant, it doesn't make it easier for him. Sometimes it takes a newbie to kick us old timers in the pants when we become complacent!
I'm so fortunate to have met him at the December support group. He is a shining star in the dark night! He's going to be speaking at the 22nd seminar. He is really excited about it. And apparently there are several more people up towards Beaver that are scheduled for surgery fairly soon as well. They are going to have 8-10 post op patients within a few weeks.
Keep going with your self and making progress!! R
