Husband is starting the process.

Jimmie has begun the process for the lap band. His labs and testing. I think this will be a good thing. He is trying on his own but I think he gets discouraged. I have worried that my wt loss has discouraged him. In the past he has always lost wt much easier and faster than me. 

I hope it all works out.  Men are so competitive-silly lad.

Good to hear that he is getting started.  Will be nice to have another guy sitting on the bench with me.  Will keep me from getting pinched on the bum too often by all the ladies.  LOL

Congrats to him!  Does this mean he is done with his 6 month diet?  Assure him that things will get much better when he has the band in place! Okie, I'm trying to tell my brother about this surgery as he would benefit greatly from it.  He has considered it several times because of people he works with have had it done...  But, he has never gone as far as to go to a seminar.  The last time he talked to me, he told me that he was recently diagnosed with diabetes (he got a new doctor who said he had it for a long time but his other doc didn't ever diagnose it)...  So, he thought because he has diabetes now that he SHOULDN'T have surgery!! I told him just the opposite.  Unfortunately, I think he lives too far away to join us for any of our dinners :o(

When he talked to them at the office they told him he did not have to do the 6 months wt loss. But he wants to fini**** out. Our insurance does not require it.  Tressa

LOL it dont matter how many of you are on the bench with us!  You arent all the same cuddly teddy bear types... so just cause there is 50 men dont mean there will be less bum picking.. I mean pinching.. lol

Congrats to your husband for making the choice of a healthier life.  My hubby has put himself on a diet he cant stand it either that I now weight less then him.... I on the other hand am LOVING it!  Look forward to seeing his progress too.

That's great! A friend of mine was thinking of undergoing hers at the same time as her husband. However, my DH told her that,"Both of you don' t need to be down. Somebody at the house has to drive to get meds, liquids, etc." Sooo, when he's sick I pamper him!
