Flu-Boooooooooooo

Ok, the flu got to my lap band-I'm not holding down even water at this point, most likely swelling from the vomiting I did for the past two weeks.  I'm going to Dr. Keith's office today, where Dr Nelson is going to take some saline out.  They will likely become my local Dr.-the fill Center in Houston is too far, and they never opened the planned one in Tulsa.

It is important to have a local dr. when these things arise.  The ER or your regular MD, might not be equipped to handle our special needs.  Of course, I learn things the hard way, but now I know!

Yeah I feel for ya, I have been sick the last 4 days.  I am glad that I am finally getting over it and that I got sick before surgery, not afterwards.  Hope you get to feeling better quick.

I'm able to drink now!  Water never tasted so good.  Liquids for a few days, then mushies-you guys know the drill.

Next time, I will make any decisions like that on Friday-I've just had a long and dry weekend (Stoma shut down on Saturday).

I just kept telling myself "aw it's just the flu" and that's all it was, but our new antatomys (either bands or bypasses) have special needs we shouldn't ignore.

Good idea to have someone close!  Glad you were able to make the switch!  My 14 year old who NEVER gets sick is being sick now...  I hope it isn't the flu!  She refuses to take medicine or see a doctor...  Just the way she is.  She is a "naturalist" and thinks doctors and medicines are bad for you!
