I spent the day in the ER yesterday!
I thought I was having a heart attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wrong, gallbladder!
I had posted a few weeks ago about having been having trouble with food and only doing liquids and now I know where all that and the morning sickness was coming from.
So I am having surgery on Thursday to remove my gallbladder, can you believe I made it one year and then it happened.
Anyone with gallbladder experience let me know how you did, I doing outpatient and then coming home, and back to work in Monday, is that reasonable?
Thanks

AmyBeth-get that gallbladder fixed so you can come to our picnic!
I had mine out on Monday, home on Tuesday (surgery was lat in the day and I didn't wake up that easily so I just spent the night-at midnight I was awake and ready to go home)....so, home about 8 am on Tuesday as soon as I could get a ride.
Kicked it at home for the rest of the week and flew out of town the following Tuesday for business. Couldn't deal with a heavy bag, was a little stiff, but fine. I flew from Dallas to Albequerque (short flight) and then drove about an hour and a half north.
Now, by the end of the two day trip, I was really really tired, but still alive and kicking. With any of the lap surgeries, I think you heal better and quicker if you move around a lot. I think if I had gone back to work at the end of the week before I would have been even MORE fit for the trip the next week.
Ah thanks everyone! Well I was scheduled for check in at 9:30 and they called me as someone cancelled and I get to check in at 8:00 am now. I took my last nauseau and pain meds at 11:30 pm last night as I am NPO, so now I am up at 4:00am as it has worn off, I am a little nauseuas but will be ok, got on here to keep my mind occupied. Will let you know when I get home.
