Tulsa Surgeons who see other Dr's patients??

My sister is having some sort of problem.  She has been vomiting since Tuesday.  I guess at first she thought it might be a "bug" but now she thinks it is surgery related. Her surgeon no longer does GBP surgery and is no longer in Oklahoma.  Does anyone know if Dr. Gorospe (Dr. Kirk) or a Dr. from Surg Assoc. sees other doctor's patients? She had her surgery with Dr. Bosquez in Jan 2003.  Dr. Bosquez was at one time in practice with Dr. Gorospe that is why I think maybe she should try there first. She is going to see her PCP in about an hour to get a referral to a Bariatric Surgeon. If you can answer this post as soon as possible, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Dot

Thats what I would suggest.  My friend John had the same doctor I think cause he was telling me how his doctor no longer does the surgery.  He is several years out though (he had an open back in like 2001 or 2002) so he hasnt gone to see a doctor in a couple of years.

I just talked to her again.  I guess it started when she ate some shredded wheat Tue morning.  She doesn't think it was the shredded wheat that caused it, but I kinda wonder about that...  She thinks it could be a hiatal hernia.  I guess she is just hoping to get some medicine to make it better and if they think she needs a scope, she'll go to a regular interologist unless they really think she needs to go to a bariatric surgeon. I think she is going to go back to fluids and mushies for awhile while it heals... I hope everything is OK.  I told her to call me after she sees the doctor.

My sister is Marjorie Frantz, she is from Coffeyville, KS and she had her surgery 01-22-2003.  I don't know what she would think of me sending her OH profile on here...  lol  But, I have the link to it.  I can PM it to ya. She ended up seeing a PCP and was given some liquid medicine with Carafate in it and she went back to soft foods for about a week and I talked to her yesterday and she said she is feeling better now.
