medical loans

Does anyone know of a place to get a medical loan to pay for my RNY.  The hospital I work for and where I'll be getting the surgery will only let me payroll deduct for one year!  I can't afford that kind of payment on my salary.  Please help!

The only one I know of is www.carecredit.com I was referred there when I had some extensive dental work done.  I didn't use them though, so...  But, I think they have a payment calculator on there.  Not sure what their terms are. Do you have a 401k?  We did a debt consolidation recently on my husband's 401k and they let us borrow up to 50% of his vested amount and we have 5 years to pay it back and the interest is like 5 or 6 percent and the "interest" is actually paid back into our account.  (doesn't go to a third party. Re-finance the house or home equity loans are other things a lot of people do. Hope this helps :o) Dot

I also think Capital One does medical loans and they are a lender you can trust. AmyBeth

We used Capital One.  You can submit the application online and  you find out very quickly.  They pick your interest rate by your credit rating. My husband just had surgery on 1/29. I changed jobs and my new insurance did not cover WLS but we were covered until 1/31 on my old plan so we got the loan for the out of network deductible and got him in that hospital!!! Good luck!!!

Just found this on the main board, thought I'd share... http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/amos/a,messageboard/action,replies/board_id,4856/cat_id,4456/topic_id,3528943/ There is a list of credit places to get funding for surgery there.

I got Capital One financing because my insurance company won't approve anyone.
