I am 6 months out and have hit a stall.  I have been down 100 pounds for 2 weeks now.  Any suggestions to get the weight to keep coming off.  I feel like I'm done with my weight loss.  Everyone keep saying "IT'S NORMAL" but I want to see better numbers.   Suggestions Please.....

Wow!!! 100 pounds in six months!!!  That is fantastic!!!  I bet those new Biggest Loser DVD will get the pounds coming off.  Don't be to hard on yourself you are doing great and don't compare yourself to others.  This is your personal journey and enjoy the 100 pound loss.  Drink your water, get in all of your daily protein, and exercise and you will get to where you want to be.  I know you can do it.  You are such an inspiration to those of who are struggling trying to get off the last few pounds before even having surgery.  Stay focused.
  Surgery date:  March 3, 2008

Weight lost since surgery:  40 pounds
Total lost pre and post op:  68  pounds
Weight lost from my highest:  82  pounds

Wynotha said it sweeter and better than anyone probably could! Don't get discouraged! I know that I am going to be facing a stall one day (hopefully a LONG LONG LONG time from now! please!!!) and it will terrify me that this is it...this is all the weight I am going to lose.  I see it on the  boards all the time. But people post again in a week or two that increasing water and protein and exercise and being consistent paid off and now they are losing again.  So hang in there!!!  keep us posted!

Carrie,  I think I would "worry" more if you were not following your Dr.'s instructions regarding water drinking, amount you are eating  and exercise, but I know you are doing all the above!!  So, like everyone said (as hard as it will be) - this happens and its normal.  Try to be patient and just know that it will happen.  I have heard the suggestion to take your measurements at this point so you can moniter the inches loss even if you aren't dropping pounds....  Chin up and good luck!

OK I know you are farther out then me, but I have had my scale at a stand still for three weeks.  I am only 10 weeks out.  But I measured myself on Jan 2 and I measured again just this last weekend, and while the scale has not moved I have lost 13 inches.  That is 1 foot 1 inch off my body.  So definatly use your tape and get your measurements monthly.   It was very comforting to see.
