When God Makes a Promise, It remains forever true. When your disillusioned and every hope is blighted, Recall the promises of God and your faith will be relighted.

My cat got really really sick on Friday.  He lost the use of his back left leg, then on Sat morning we found out through xray that he had lost the ability to empty his bladder and colne.  So I had to make the hard decission.  I just could not see him struggle any more.  So Sat was a really sucky day for me and today I just could not get my head off the pillow.  How do you explain to a 6 year old why God won't give this little miracle for our family.  My husband is on the road right now too, so have to deal with all of this and explain it to my 6 year old and 4 year old .  This was alot to handle this weekend.  Hope you all had a better weekend then this.

I am so sorry about your kittie!!!!! Pets become our best friends and they are certainly a important part of our families.  I have a hard time when i lose one of mine.  My prayers and thoughts are with you and your children.

Cindy:  Saw your profile and that you are having Dr. Gorospe do your surgery.  You will be so happy with him.  Mine was 3 years ago with Dr. Gorospe and I would not have wanted anyone else to do my RNY than him.  I have done perfectly.  Can eat all things (within small moderation).  Some people can't so I feel that is such a blessing.  I do however, have to monitor the sugar, which I am very happy about, I eat mostly sugarfree.   One suggestion I have for you with the protein.  I could not drink the flavored proteins, they just made me gag.  (Well, I did in the hospital and for a few days after since I couldn't trial and error too much).  But, know I buy the non-flavored type, put a cup of low cal milk, a cup of fresh fruit, one scoop of the non-flavored protein & about 1 scoop of splenda.  I freeze the fruit so it is like a shake.  It is wonderful and usually around 24 grms of protein.  Also, there is a protein bar called pure protein I buy at Sams which has 24 grms of protein.  They are the peanut butter bars.  They are good as well to help get in the protein and filling too.   Anyway, just thought I might share a little with you.  I will keep you in my prayers on Tuesday.  I know everything will go well for you and you will be on your way to a whole new you.  Rita

Thank you sooo  much for your kind words... i am definately going to check into the non-flavored protein.  post-op I drank slim fast high protein, I did like it and was able to drink it but the other one I tried was a no go.  I didnt want to waste my money on trying alot of them since everyone says after surgery your taste change. I do the trial and error more after.   I am anxious. Thanks for the prayers and I am loving my dr and the staff!!!

I've been visiting a college with my daughter on Saturday (taking a tour) and then helped my Grandmother paint her new home.  Whew!  I'm tired too!

My nephews came over for a few hours Saturday and then after they left I did a whole lotta nothing!!  I played one of the girls' games on the Wii (it was actually an older gamecube game though) Yesterday I watched a CSI marathon on my DVR and then we went to Tulsa to take the 9 year old to the Hannah Montana Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds 3D movie!! After we got home from that I had to help with one last little homework project, put the kid to bed and then watched a Netflix movie! Today, I need to do laundry.  (but, you see I'm here first...  PRIORITIES!!!!!!!!!!)

I went to Joplin both Saturday and Sunday.  My mom is in the hospital.  She's suffering so much sometimes I think it would be better if she passed away and didn't have to suffer any more.  But she was doing better yesterday and when she leaves the hospital she'll go back to the nursing home.  Then it's just a matter of time until she has another life-threatening problem and has to go back to the hospital again.  I hate to see her go thru all that.
