The nurse called this morning and the doc wants me to drink a glass of red wine every other night.  YIKES!  I don't drink so I don't know what to buy.  I know I don't like dry wine so can anyone suggest a sweet red wine that does not taste bad?  My mom said Berringer (sp?) was pertty good.   He also wants me to take Omega 3 fish oil 3 x per day.  We will recheck my levels in 3 months. Riunite Lambrusco is what my family drinks currently.  It might taste too sweet to you though, not sure how your taste buds are now.  There is another I cant think of the name of, also a Lambrusco, that comes in a shorter fatter bottle and has like a hemp covering on it.  The liquor store should be able to point you towards a good choice.

Is this your surgeon's office who wants you to drink the wine or is it your PCP's office?  Good luck finding something you like!!  I don't like wine either.  I've tried to drink it with meals when we have special occasions and still haven't found anything I can stand to drink! I hope if you make yourself drink a glass every night that it works for you too!

Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea.  I've taken fish oil before.  I don't take it now, because it thins your blood and I don't want to have to worry about thin blood in case I get surgery sometime this year! Funny thing...  My cats like the fish oil!  I totally didn't think about it, but one day, I had my vitamins laying out and the cat was trying to eat them!  The cats NEVER messed with them until I started the fish oil!
