I am so mad at me! I have gotten lazy! I have been drinking pop again and eating junk food! I have no reason to revert back to the old habits, I just got lazy! I realized today when I was craving a cig. so bad I almost went to get  a pack.. that made me mad.. then I got to thinking about it and looking at my behaviors lately.. then I cried! I have to get strong and be patient.  sorry for rattling on.

Sherrie - try to be strong.  You have been going thru alot lately.  Take a deep breath and get your bearings again.  You CAN do this!!!  Whats alittle "rattling" among friends anyway....

If you cant rattle to your friends then who can you rattle too.  Find something positive and concentrate on it and take it one step at a time.  You can do it.

I think we always hope that we have the "gumption" to do the things we HAVE to do and there is no opening for failure.  None of us would be if we had never failed.  But look at it this way - failure is what makes us strong enough to get through the hard days ahead.  You have made a decision to change your life.  When you swerved, you REALIZED it and are making strides to correct the ship.  Most likely before this journey, you would not have "realized" you swerved!  Think of how different that is!!   So, we stumble, we get up and we move on.  Lesson learned, no foul.  One of the hardest things we have to learn again is to let ourselves move on.  We carry so much of our own guilt for us being in the "condition" we are/were in, so let it go and get on with the "living" part.  You WILL be successful!  Here is a big HUG from me.  Now move on towards your goals and know that it will be okay! Much love.... R

Sherrie:  I just happened on here today to post on my profile my 3 year post op anniversary.  I can tell you we have all been in the boat with you.  All felt like we were out of control eating & drinking pop, waiting on doctors to fax, email, respond, etc.  It IS so frustrating.  But, you just hang in there.  It took me over a year to get approval for Gastric Bypass.  At one point I felt like giving up, but, I didn't and 3 years later I am healthy and happy I did not give up.  It will happen for you too and a few years from now you can say the same thing I am saying.  Best of luck to you.  Your whole life will change once you are given the gastric bypass tool to help you lose weight.  If you are one of the lucky ones, you will dump if you eat sugar (that will keep you honest).   I never thought I would be able to drink diet pop.  I hated it prior to surgery.  But, today, I only drink diet pop, eat mostly sugar free (maybe a few bites of sugar ever now and then).  Your life, your likes & dislikes will all change once you have gastric bypass.  So, hang in there.  You can do it!!!!!!!!!
