What are you using on your scars?  I want them to get lighter but the scar remover cream I have is not working.  Do you use something that works?  I have fair skin so they show up really well.  I hate the one on my neck from the vena cava filter.   Carrie

I was told by a nurse friend of mine to try Tru-Derm.

I've heard Mederma works good.  There is a Wal-Mart brand of it now too and I think a Walgreens brand. I bought some last year when I had surgery, but I thought it was sticky and icky and didn't use it after I paid $30-something for it!!! I'm weird about certain textures though (it's my OCD) and I just couldn't use that stuff, personally. I'm sure "normal" people would be OK with it though.

I didn't use anything on my scars from gallbladder surgery and they faded, but it did take about a year.  I have a nasty scar on my neck from surgery about 7 mos ago that is fading, but I still hate it cause there is a pucker.  Stitches got left in too long due to infection complications, so doubt it will ever look good. I figure most of the ones on my tummy will go "bye bye" when I have a TT down the road.  At least I can hope for that.
