My NUT appointment

Well, guess what?!!!  I left my house EARLY today to go to my NUT appointment and I was STILL 10 minutes late!!! At first, I went to "sort of" the right place but not really the right place...  So, I called Surgical Associates and someone there told me the NUT was in the Natalie Building which is totally NOT where I was!! So, I went to the Natalie building and asked about "Jackie" there and no dice!  So, I called Surg Assoc again and the person I talked to this time said that I was told the wrong location and this person actually HEARD that PERSON give me the WRONG info!! So, she sent me back to *about* where I was the first time.  ONLY...  I was in the St. Francis North entrance and I was supposed to be over where the construction is going on for the CHILDRENS Hospital!  By this time, I'm quite annoyed.  I HATE being late.  Lateness drives my OCD up a wall!  No one told me "Jackie's" last name...  phone number, suite number, NOTHING!!  Eventually after calling Surg Assoc twice, I ended up with two different phone numbers for her.  Neither of which was answered because she was with a patient! As it turns out, Jackie is in a temporary location and might not even be in the same place the next time I have to see her.  Who knows? I'll probably have trouble finding her next time too!  UGH!!!!!

It sounds like you went to the same place I went to in September.  I went to Brianna's new office in the Kidney Transplant Office and Jackie was also there because she was being trained.  I haven't seen Jackie since then because nobody told me how often I should see her.  Sometimes I feel like I'm in an endless assembly line.

Yes, I know I was fine...  I just hate being late.  As it turns out, she wasn't even done with the patient before me so I still had to wait a little bit.  My appointment was at 11 and was to last an hour.  It was nearly 1:00 when I was done.  I think even with me getting in late we still ran over by a little bit.  I wonder if she got a lunch period?? Pam, I know somewhere in this packet of papers they gave me it tells how often you should see her.  I will look..... ..........  OK...  the one I had yesterday, another one just prior to surgery where she will go in more detail about the first few weeks after surgery...  then another appointment between the 2nd & 6th week post op.  That's about it.  Of course, she said if you want or need to see her more often that is fine.  Just schedule your appointment with Surg Assoc.  She answers any question you have on a question line (she calls you back) and that is 918-481-BARI

Dot, I know things can get really messed up there but, HANG IN THERE!!!  I was supposed to see her 2 weeks after surgery and I still haven't seen her.  Oh well, I'm doing fine and I have a slew of dietitians to help me at work.  One even fussed me about having 1/2 of a pretzle stick.  I am well watched!  Can't wait until Wednesday, this is going to be FUN! Michelle
You call me a LOSER like it's a bad thing!
