It Has Begun!!
Well I made a call to Dr Gorospe's office today to see about getting the ball rolling. I am going to be going to (my 3rd in 3 years) his seminar next Saturday since that's the first step requirement. Then I can schedule my first visit with Dr Gorospe's office to get all the paperwork and find out what all they need me to do pre-op. I am so excited I am shaking today, or is that this cold weather? LOL all I know is I am finally rolling down the hill to being a loser. Look out below!! 
Good for you! I got my appointment with Dr. Gorospe within a couple of weeks of going to the seminar. I didn't keep the appointment though because I found out within that 2 weeks that he was out of network for my insurance...
Then I had to wait several weeks to go to a Surgical Associates info meeting and then I started jumping through their hoops. They required a bunch of other doctor visits before ever getting to see the surgeon. (psych, pulmonary, cardio, pcp, etc)
I went to Dr. Katsis' seminar the first week of November and I'm just now getting done with the "other" doctor appointments! Now, I hope to get a call from Surg Assoc with a Dr. Katsis appointment next week. If they don't call me soon enough, I'll call them!

We will be watching for you! You usually get a call within a week to 10 days following seminar for appt with Dr Gorospe. Be sure to have all your paperwork complete when you come. Their ofc is very good in getting you scheduled for required appts.
Do I remember you saying early on you would be selfpay? If so, it should go pretty fast for you.
