Day Vs. Week-Crosspost

I posted this on the main board, but I wanted to share it with my special Okies too.
One day is probably not going to make you gain weight in any significant amount (aside from some temporary water weight gain). One week-well that's another story.
Lots of us will be at festivities for the next two days-Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are big eating events. But it's the day after Christmas all the way through New Year's that are the real trouble makers.
Use the 26-31st to develop and improve on habits that will serve you well in the New Year, not to throw caution to the wind and deal with it "later".
Also, don't ever use "why bother" or "I've already messed up" as an excuse to continue. Egg Nog on Christmas day isn't going to be resolved by cookies on the 26th.
I would challenge you all to use the week between Christmas and New Year's to work on buidling up your health, not tearing it down.
