Wow things are a little different
Well as a sit here I realize just how much of a change major holidays can be. Right behind me is a whole cabinet of cookies, fudge, candy, nuts, breads ect ect. Nurses are known to like to eat (and discuss body functions and fluids at the same time). I have been a good girl though but everywhere I turn someone is wanting you to try a new recipe for pumpkin bread or this new cookie. When I look I gear my self over to the cheese for a few nibbles or a few nibbles of ham. How does everyone handle the "office/family" treats this time of year.

I've also been told to always have something in both hands. For instance...a bottle of water in one hand and a napkin in the other. That way both of your hands are tied up.

Everyone I work with knows that I have had the surgery so they don't even tempt me with sweets. In fact, one of the Home Health agencies brought a tray of goodies and the crew put in the break room. I didn't know it was there until I was ready to go. They are very protective of me! Oh, I also agree about being able to discuss bodily functions and fluids and eating. I'm a nurse too! What a special breed we are! Heehee!
Merry Christmas,
