Virtual Bike Club Ride
What an awesome idea. One of my goals for post op is to get me a new bike and get out on Riverside here in Tulsa and ride and ride and ride. I have hurt my knee within the last couple of months and I am fighting that. I hope I havent ruined my knee with all the weight i have been carrying on it these last few years. I have always wanted to ride in the Oklahoma Freewheel cross-state bike ride. I read about a guy who had surgery then took his teenage daughter on vacation and the two of them rode something like 300 miles along the coast of Israel.

Biking is one of the kindest things on the knees, ankles and feet. Like anything else, start easy, and work up. I am working with a local bike shop to organize a beginner clinic (for women, sorry Wolf) that focuses on true beginners and will hopefully spur some interest in riding our river trails here.
I'm up for meeting anyone on the River Trail-it's nice and flat and wide, so skill or physical conditioning is optional.
