The not snacking is going to be a hard thing for me. I feel like the no drinking for 30 minutes after eating helps keep me in line though. I'm afraid I'll eat something (if I were to snack) and that drinking may flu**** out of my pouch before it's ready and then I might dump. It's probably completely irrational, but it's motivation to stay in line and not snack. I think that the dr has me on Nexium every day for this first 4 months has helped a long way in preventing stomach sensitivity. I haven't had anything yet that I consider spicy. I used to chahoula on my eggs. I've looked at the bottle in the fridge, but am just not that brave. *LOL* I've sort of stopped pushing the envelope with the trying new foods. I took my surgeon literal when he told me what I can and can not have. Since getting sick, I've started looking at the guidelines some of the other surgeons give. Today I had a bite of english peas and about 2 oz scallops for one meal and scrambled egg with cheese and 1/2 slice turkey bacon for another. I couldn't finish all of either meal, but they were both satisfying. About an hour ago, I had 1/2 a No Sugar added Italian Ice (2g sugar per cup and I only had 1/2 the little cup). Tomorrow I'm making a split pea soup. I'm trying to make things I can have, too, for my family. I like to get to sit down with them. If my meal looks too different from theirs then my twins (21 months in a few days) won't eat their food. *LOL* I really feel the cause of the sickness I had was from not chewing well enough or from the dryness of the meat. Since I've been sticking to stuff that can mush easily I've done much much better.
