This is what we are having for dinner tonight.  It is called Taco Soup on my recipe, but I don't put as much water in it as it calls for, so we eat it more like chili...  However, by not putting as much water in, it is a lot spicier!!  Enjoy! Taco Soup 1 lb ground beef 1/2 tsp garlic (I use the jar minced kind) 1 large onion (I only use half of a large onion and add raw onion to my bowl for crunch) 16 oz diced tomatoes 16 oz tomato sauce 4 oz green chiles 16 oz thick n chunky salsa (I use mild since I don't use as much water) 16 oz pinto beans 16 oz pinto beans w/chili sauce 16 oz red kidney beans 1 pkg taco seasoning mix 3 cups water garnish with cheddar cheese, taco-flavored tortilla chips, and sour cream if desired. Brown ground beef with onion & garlic.  Add remaining ingredients & simmer.

Sounds almost like my chili recipe.  I will edit it below..... 1 lb ground beef 1 lb steak cubes chopped to about the size of a die (you know Yahtzee dice size) 1/2 tsp garlic (I use Graceful Garlic from Scotts Farms here in Oklahoma..its out of this world) 1 medium red onion 16 oz diced tomatoes 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies (I use hot but use whatever temperature you want) 16 oz tomato sauce (sometimes i use 2 small cans of V8 instead) 16 oz pinto beans w/chili sauce (Bush's Best are hard to beat) 16 oz red kidney beans (see above) 1 pkg Williams Chili Seasoning (seasons 2 lbs) A sprinkle of Paprika I "rinse" the 5 cans with water and use tha****er (and the leftover goodies from the can) in the chili I have alternated the steak cubes with ground deer meat or with ground buffalo meat before.  If you dont want the chuckwagon taste however you can just use 2 lbs of regular ground beef instead.  I serve with crackers and top with shreaded cheese or serve over spaggetti depending on what mood I am in.  Speaking of spagetti, I have a 20+ year family tradition recipe we fix for Christmas if anyone would like to try it.  Who would have thought, a guy who likes to cook who dont live in New York or some other culinary location, hehe.

I've seen other recipes for Taco Soup or Santa Fe Soup with Hidden Valley Ranch powdered dressing and corn.  It's yummy!
