Remember-you burn more calories in the cold

So get outside and move around!

If you are pre op and out of power, be grateful for the extra layer of fat right now.

If you are pre op and married tell hubby "aren't you glad you married a fat girl?"

Remember to drink your water-with the heat on (if you are lucky enough to have heat) it dries you out quicker than in the summer months.

Life goes on-some of you have dates coming up and need to stay focused on that.  For those of us post op-this isn't a free pass to gulp down eggnog.

This is my first round of cabin fever since banding-and believe me, I'm sure it's tougher than usual because I can't snack snack snack.  But I don't want 5 extra pounds as a reminder of the worst ice storm in Oklahoma history.  THAT I can do with out.

Wow, if I truely did burn more cal in the cold I should be a size 4.  I grew up in ND.  We always wanted it to stay below freezing once it did so that we got snow instead of rain.  Ice is even worse when it is covered by a layer of snow.  I have enjoyed the lower temps as of late, but am not enjoying seeing all the problems with the ice.  Ice is truely it's very own kinda beast.  This to shall pass use your extra time to get closer with a family member, read a book, play a game, or just cuddle.  I

Pattye, I've always know you were a soul mate.  Fog is my favorite-not really fond of driving in it, but I can walk for hours in the fog.  It's like swimming on top of the water.
