Good News!

Elvis, Andy Warhol, and Scarlett, the three native species I have, lived.  They are in brumination, but will be fine.

The pythons are gone, and of course, they are the most expensive (aint that always the case) but I was so glad to see my three survivors.  They are put in a warm place near the ho****er tank to continue their sleep (Elvis is in his own box, he's a cannibal) and when this all blows over they will have palaces like no other kingnsake/cornsnake has ever had.

In every tragedy, in every loss, there is some good to be found if we look hard enough.  Today, my good was in the form of a cranky cornsnake-but I'll take good in any form I can get.

I didn't get to weigh today, but I have been following my dietary plan so next week should show a good loss.  We will always have stressful times, but thank God I am learning to deal with them without stuffing my face.

I am so sorry about your loss. And glad that you had survivors. I am not a snake person (they make me quake in my boots) but I can understand the love of a pet. Its wonderful that you were able to deal with stress in someother way than eating. I know from experience that this weather is a stress  stuffer. I have had to make myself get out and about to keep from eating til I am sick.. which I have done only once since the storm.. but I keep thinking I am hungry.. but know I am not... Its been a test on my will power and I am going to win this fight.. I have to prove to myself I can do it now... I can not stress eat, i can not stress eat i can not stress eat, I WILL NOT STRESS EAT..  oops this became a sherrie pep talk.. sorry.. lol

Sherrie, let it be what it needs to be.  You are doing great!  This storm will test a lot of people in many ways, disasters always do.  But if you turn this into something good-all the better.  YOU GO GIRL!

Sorry for your loss. I am glad you are dealing with stress in another way besides "stuffing your face" I had to learn how to deal with my stress without eating. Not easy at times when food has been your best friend for 38 years however I am sure enjoying my wt loss and increased energy.  Tressa
