Is everyone OK?

Problem was, the storm hit such a widespread area there just aren't enough people to cover. The normal plan is to bring people from out of state, but many of those states were hit as well. This wasn't truly any worse than what hit Eastern Oklahoma earlier this year, but hitting two major metro areas just did us all in. So now we have to wait.

No power here since Monday night. Mine is an isolated break so I am down on the list. I am staying with my parents, found a kennel that could take the dogs today. Snakes didn't make it. Trying to grieve quietly and not cause any fuss-my parents are not monsters, just very old and any change is upsetting to them. Since the dogs are kenneled now, I can hide out in the spare room and not be a disruption.
All the tension has made my band really tight-so I want to remind you all to drink even if you don't feel like eating. If you get dehydrated, you are looking at an unfill and a few weeks of no restriction-so please stay hydrated. And as long as you are hydrating, suck down some soy milk or something for protien too-might as well stay nourished at the same time.
Also, be aware, if you are newly banded (I'm fairly new too) you are going to get a double roller coaster of emotions because you can no longer eat about it. My mind was boggled at the junk foods being stocked up on by shoppers in my neighborhood. And I decided right then I wasn't going to emerge on the other side of this storm with any extra pounds.
