Will it Snow? Will it ICE?

I have 20 somehting.  The biggest one is 10 feet plus-she's a funny girl!  A couple of my babies might get up to 12 feet or so.  They are dwarf, but when normal size is 20 feet, dwarf is a relative term.  All are pythons-no poisonous snakes for me.

I am resolved to being untterly snowed in today.  Sunday is a good day for that.  Tomorrow, maybe not so good but by then the roads will be salted and I will just let tomorrow take care of itself.

OMG!!!  I'm getting cabin fever already!!!!!  I certainly hope the power doesn't go out.  If it does, the bearded dragons will be sleeping with the girls!  Everyone stay warm and safe! Michelle

I went down to the Riverside Wal-Mart Market earlier today and it was packed with frantic shoppers (thank God for the self check out lanes).  I got stuff for chili tonight and jambulaya tomorrow.  Also got several cans of basic Campbells chicken noodle.  Can never have enough of that during the cold icy days.   One good thing if the electric goes out in my apartment is that I have a fireplace.  I can always run down to Quik Trip and get a couple bundles of firewood if needed.  Stay warm and keep the flashlights and blankies handy folks.   P.S. This is sooo not global warming.  Been here almost 34 years now and this is normal, if there is such a think in Oklahoma, land of "Dont like the weather, wait a few hours"

I just wish they would go ahead and announce that they are closing the schools that my girls go to.  I know they will - but I'd like for them to before I go to bed.

Yeah my brother is the school board president at Liberty Mounds and he and the Superintendant are the ones who drive the roads and make the call.  Out there, the roads dont get treated with sand and salt like they do up here in Tulsa.  I am pretty sure they wont have school in the morning.

I am sure they will close the schools.  I am going to call and ask that they NOT move Uncle John tomorrow unless they are absolutely sure of the roads, their route, etc.  I'm sure they won't, but I don't want to take chances.

The dogs were sooooooo bored, I finally let them out in the sunroom and scattered kibble all over the floor for them to pick up . (It's indoor outdoor carpet).  It doesn't take much to amuse a dog.

We found out our schools were close fairly early today.  That's a good thing so I don't have to wake up early tomorrow!  yippee!!  I think I'm happier than the kids!  ha ha

Okay it is the middle of the freakin' night and I have been up and down thanks to the power being intermittent.  I am going stir crazy from being cooped up for over 24 hours!  And I can't stop eating!!  I'm not making good choices, just eating to keep busy I guess!  I'm sure I'll pay for it on the scale but it is making me mad! The power is going off for just moments, but I think we are the lucky ones if you compare to the 77000 that the OGE website says is out at the moment.  That number has tripled since I went to bed last evening!  WOW!  It even took a few minutes to get a good enough signal for my aircard to get active.  That's annoying!  The Cox services went down early Sunday - thanks to the ice build up on the aerial drop.  It took me 1/2 the day to report that due to the call volume.  They are "supposed" to be out Monday afternoon, but who knows if that will happen. So, I just sit and hope we can maintain power and remember the 2 years I spent in north Florida - never wore a coat unless I was flying back to OK.  This is the beginning of the winter for us, darn - global warming my butt!!   Hang in there Okie's!!  It's not even close to being over either! Last night was certainly eventful.  I got out and drove around to survey the damage and roads at about 4:30 am.  ORU was lit up but the Wal-mart across the street was completely black, go figure.  Lots of street lights out too.  My best friend called me at 5 am cause a tree fell onto his roof and snapped the main electrical line running to the house.  So he is going to be staying with me for the next few days.  I am not going ot go to the Gorospe group meeting tonight (its probably cancelled anyways.
