When I got there i asked about the mask. She said if you have sleep apnea we will wake you up in the middle of the night and place a mask on you. She said almost everyone that comes in ends up wearing the mask.  Well i fell asleep and someone came in.  I thought oh crap. But he just came in to fix my leg sticker that fell off. Then i remember getting woke up again and she said time to go! I was thrilled. I didnt have to wear the mask. She said i had a few episodes but nothing serious... Im hoping thats all that i have to do. Obviously it wasnt enough to wear a mask so im hoping the doctor thinks the same thing. I am going to call tuesday to see if they got the results yet.

Good for you!   I didn't have the mask on my first study either.  They guy didn't tell me anything either.  It was like he was selecting his words very carefully as to NOT tell me anything.  I guess it is because he is a technician and not a doctor?   Anyway, I had to wait for someone else to intrepret the results and my PCP's nurse called me with the results.  I was told I had sleep apnea, but wasn't told any details as to how severe.  I'm having another sleep study on Tuesday with the mask. I don't like the idea of having a CPAP, but being a "light weight" I'm glad I have a co-morb so hopedully it will help me get approved.

It took me nearly 2 weeks!!!  Apparently, the sleep center said they sent the results to my PCP and the PCP never received them.  I think the sleep center ended up saying they sent the results 3 times before the PCP ever received them and the PCP called them 2 or 3 times to get them resent!! It was only supposed to take 3 business days (my study was on a Friday night)
