I am five days post-op and going to phase two, pureed in about a week. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to good protein enriched foods/liquids I can have during the next week. Also, are mashed sweet potatoes classified the same as regular sweet potatoes? Thanks!

Linn, with some plain, no flavor soy powder or egg powder, anything on the planet can become a protien enriched food.  My favorite is pumpkin with egg powder and pumpkin pie spices....that would work with vanilla protien powder too. I can't eat anything with beef in it, and I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve veggies, so I'm just adding powders to my veggies and am a pretty happy camper.  I cannot eat (physcially can't hold it) enough solid protien like pork or chicken to get all mine in right now so I am supplementing.  It's a controversy on the main board but my feeling is get the protien in and worry about form later. I also dump protien powder in soup at hand or some of my organic soups to get a protien boost.  The trick to hot dishes is to mix the protien while it's cool, then heat it up.  If you like eggs, dump some protein powder in scrambled eggs (before cooking) and boost your protien values up that way.

That's a great idea, thanks. Where do you find the egg and soy powder? Offhand, can you tell me how much protein each has? thanks!

Health food store should have it (maybe not gnc, but a natural foods store, gnc is more body building oriented).  24 grams of protien and 110-115 calories a scoop.
