December 1st and...

I got all of my Christmas shopping completely finished.  I'm completely blown away.  Now if I can just get it all wrapped up.  What an awesome feeling!    So, now I've just got to get ready for my youngest daughter's b-day which is the day after Christmas.  I'll have to figure out if I am going to do it early ... I think I will. How is it going for you all? Tonja

i havent done any christmas shopping.  I will prob do it next weekend. I also have a birthday near christmas my daughters is five days before. with me having surgery on the 13th we are planning on celebrating her birthday after the holidays. we usually do it about the second week of december but this year will have to deviate from our plans.

I'm thinking maybe the 15th for my daughter.  We'll see.

I finished lastnight because I wasn't sure I'd be up to fighting the crowds right after surgery.  Also, DH and the kids were having pizza and I needed to get out of the house.  I'm happy to be done but the $ stress me.  I'll take a couple of days for my body to relax from the sticker shock.  It's nice to be finished though.  Now I've got to figure out what I plan to do for my oldest son's 13th birthday (Jan 16) and when I plan to have the party.  Since all our family is out of state, I need to have those plans laid out at least 3 weeks in advance. Our second oldest turns 11 Dec 8th, but he's my step-son and lives with his mom.  We're never invited to his party or anything since he's always in another state.  I bought him a gift and a gift card lastnight.  It'll be going out in the mail tomorrow.  A long time ago when he was a pre-schooler, we used to throw him his own birthday party the week before Christmas when we finally got him.  It got to be quite a financial strain to do a full blown party on top of having to pay to get him, so now we just send his gift and card and give him a call.  It's hard, but at least he knows he's loved.

I'm a little behind.  We don't "do" gifts in my family, but then we really do and it's confusing.

I have done very LITTLE shopping.  I'm waiting on some money!!  Hopefully we'll have it next weekend.  I've bought a few things here and there and bout a few things online...  I have my list made out so I know what to buy. I HATE wrapping!  I'm usually up all night long on Christmas Eve wrapping after we get home from the in-laws! Tonja - my nephew's b-day is the day after Christmas.  He will be 4 this year.  My sister INSISTS on taking the tree & C-mas decorations down the evening of Christmas so Zak's b-day is his B-DAY and NOT Christmas! So far, she's doing a good job, but it is a lot of work...  I wonder how long that will last?  lol

 We try to pick up stuff all year. this year I have slacked on it a bit but I have a few gifts for the kids. We are not buying for anyone but our kids this year. Both of my kids are pretty easy to buy for. they rarely ask for expensive stuff... thank god.. dennis wants a new wallet and denise wants a vest.. i got her the vest last week and all i have to get now is his wallet. wow, i am almost done..lol

Might wrap up a few things today while the girls are at school.  We'll see.  DJ, I might do the taking the tree down.  We'll have to see.  But I do like the idea. T
