How are you all who are losers handling the sugar limit? I read the labels on everything lately to make sure that I don't remotely go toward the dumping syndrome. Some of my favorite things like bbq sauce, etc. have way too much sugar..Does anyone have any recipes or suggestions of places I can go for recipes for "normal" food? I hate to think that  I can't have bbq forever..don't miss the sweets at all...everything tastes too sweet right now...I was more of a carb girl before..miss those mashed potatoes. I'm ready for this bad breath to go away..and I'm ready to rid myself of this nausea so that I can feel good and strong again.. I'm just wondering what tips you all have for semi-regular eating.

Well, those of us who are lap banders are extremely lucky because we don't have dumping. WLS is a fun new ball game of reading labels and learning what we wish we had known years ago. If you are still having nausea, you might call your doc to see if you can get some phenergan (sp?).  It works great for nausea. Tonja

Check out the sugar free section and carb control sections of the supermarket.  You shoud be able to find a sugarfree BBQ sauce fairly easily.  They also make a SF ketchup. In Oklahoma, many of the ribs are served dry rubbed-no sauce, and are awesome. With any WLS, "normal" is going to have to be redefined....
