Who Wants Some Prayer?

You know, I'm a believer in prayer.  And, I know there are a lot of you going through a lot of stuff right now and I thought - why not start a prayer chain.  Just add your prayer request to this post. What do you think? So, I've got a lot of unspoken requests that the Lord knows about, but if you all would just remember me, I would appreciate it. So, please list your prayer request so we can all pray for each other! Tonja P.S.  It would be great if this could be something that we could keep going and update each week.

Oh wow.  What do I NOT need prayer about??? I start my liquid 100% tomorrow.  I've got 50 million things to get done in the next 10 days.  I could use a financial blessing right about now.  I hope that when I get my dog to the vet this week that her eye can be helped (think she has something in it that is embedded and won't wash out), but cheaply.  I also pray that my van holds up until we have the $ to repair it.  I've also been praying a lot about learning to let other's help themselves.   (I have a tendency to try to OVER help sometimes and take on stress that isn't mine.) You know, all the usual life type stuff.

Learning to let other's help themselves-that's a great one, and one I need too.  And to that I will add-valuing my own self enough to help myself-it's so easy to lose yourself in helping others, but as I am constantly preaching, You are no good to others if you don't take care of yourself. Maybe I should add a prayer that I listen to myself more often.

 There are so many things that I could ask for prayers about, but I think I will ask for you all to pray for my mental health right now, I am feeling a bit stressed with the phy. exam thing not being by who it was supposed to be and having to redo it. I am not worried about passing it. its more stress about thinking I was all set to go and BAM.. one more thing arises!

Please help me to make it through the next week.  I start a liquid drano today and leave for TX tomorrow for my RNY on Wed.  Especially for my husband and children.  He has never done the parenting alone, I have never been away from my children.  I think being away from my children will be harder then the surgery its self. 

Liquid drano!? *LMAO*  That's funny!  One of my friends calls it the rectum rocket, but liquid drano is pretty good, too.

Laurel, your children and your husband will benefit from a Mom/Wife who is healthy and takes care of herself.  You will be teaching your children to address issues head on and to have enough self esteem to feel that they are worth loving and caring for.  So, even in this phase, you are setting a good example.

I will keep you all in my prayers.  As other needs arise, please post them.  I think there is a lot of power in prayer and I want to keep this going. So, please post!!!  Every day if you would like and as many times during the day you would like. Tonja

Please pray that all goes well for Pattye today and she starts to feel better soon and that my surgery goes smoothly, thank you so much for posting this I too believe in prayer. Nana
