The biggest concern I have is insurance.  right now my insurance pays 100 percent but after january something is changing and they will only pay 90 percent. So I wonder if my surgery is approved now but not scheduled til after january does that mean I wont be able to fall under the 100 percent :(... I sure hope not. I wonder how long dr G takes to do the surgery once you are approved.  any thoughts. ps. I love pumpkin pie

Your ins benefits are based on when they are actually performed, not approved.  Have you asked surgeon if you can get a date before year end?  If possible, that is what I would do.  Good luck.

Another reason to push for prior to year end is your deductible starts over again on Jan 1.
