The board has been soooo quiet this week-is everyone just swamped with holidays?  How are you new post-ops doing?  I am worried you might be in that let down phase-excitement has worn off but not the effects of major surgery-it's ok, it can be tiring but your body will adjust.  Talk to us!

I'm here at work.  Sitting...watching Real Housewives of Orange County.  I love that show!!! I think everyone is so busy with the holidays that it's slowed down on here. I'll try to do better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonja

Dang, I need a job like yours!  Actually, I have my dream job-working from home, but the dream is never quite like the reality.  I'm in a big learning curve right now.

The Okies are here !!!    WAVES>>>>>>>>> I have been busy catching up on my soaps while i am off work ,,,the excitement hasnt worn off , itis just different , for me the before surgery was so stressful , i have just been relaxing and taking it easy , i feel like i am getting my life back , the excitement for me is the thought of a new life , and new friends , not just sitting home feeling sorry for myself and worrying about things i cannot change but actaully making changes that i can.  I was worrying i wasnt losing weight in this phase like i thought i should but then i re read my stuff and saw it is completelely normal.  I have my good days and bad days , but mostly they are good .  Im certainly not perfect but i am giving this everything i have !!! thanks for the care you have all shown here , it has helped me more than you will ever know .  I look forward to meeting each of you . You are all awesome. Luanne

Been busy with all the final appts this week, just one more to go tomorrow, the scope procedure.  I work on Friday, it will be one of my liquid only days. I should find out what time to show up for surgery on Monday sometime tomorrow. My doc does his lap-banders first then the gastric bypass pts.

I guess I've been busy...   Last Thursday I had my cardio tests done and then spent the evening watching the High School Drama "MacBeth" (which was wonderful, I must add).   I don't really remember Friday,  Saturday I lazed around the house until we had to go to MacBeth again (dh missed the Thurs. one due to being out of town on business),  Sunday, Serena (my 14 yo) had one of her life-long friends over and I visited with her and did house work. Monday I went Thanksgiving food shopping and cleaned out my fridge in preparation for left overs :o) Today, I hung Christmas LIghts outside (before it gets too cold), watched a little TV, visited with my sister and mom when they came over, and spent some time on the computer catching up on reading OH Okla board and Main board. Kids are out of school tomorrow.  I plan to clip my dog's hair.  Miranda (9 yo) will help me.  He is a mess...  I shouldn't let his hair get out of control like I have :o( Wednesday I will prepare for Thanksgiving. Thursday we are having game day and more food preparation and then going to dh's grandparents house. Friday I'm cooking my own Thanksgiving meal and hopefully my brother will come down from Pittsburg KS. That is as far out as I have planned so far. Sorry so long :O) Dot*
