One day of reining my nutrition (not calories) in and I feel much better-and even better still, it looks like I'll be going to sleep at a decent hour woooo hoooo.
Now, part of it is the nutrition, part of it is I just took a day to pause and collect myself-recenter, get back in order. BUT, I've tried that before recently, and just couldn't get centered....so I really believe it was the protein AND the spacing (not meal skipping) that made the difference.
One day does not a habit make, but I feel like I addressed an issue AND I said that my health was an important enough issue to really contemplate. Someone (thanks Mom) said to me "you have the band, what else is there?" and that's when I mentally fired Mom from my nutritional board of directors. Love the woman to pieces, but she doesn't have a clue.....Her other gem for the day was, when I told her I wasn't getting enough calories "Isn't that what the band is for?"
Remember, you are the boss of your own body. Our family, friends and others mean well, but they probably don't have the education in WLS to give you good advice. My Mom reads all kinds of articles, is a born again weigh****cher, but none of those things qualify her to understand what I need to eat in order to lose 100 pounds in a healthy manner.
I tried and my youngest daughter tried the "turkey 10 minutes before bedtime" to see if it would help - because she seems to continuously be starving. She ate her turkey and went to bed and it was good - she went right to sleep.
I still had kind of a restless night, but, I think it's due to the weather.
I'll try the turkey again tonight and see how it goes.
