When is your next sleep study, queen? I'm still waiting on results for mine!!  I called last week and they said they faxed it to the doc, but the doc didn't have it or couldn't find it.  So, they re-faxed and I'm still waiting.  I think that was Wednesday or Thursday.  I was busy Friday, but I called this morning and left a message for the nurse, so hopefully I'll hear something by the end of today!

I get to do it again... They just called and I go the 27th. They wanted to do it tomorrow but my husband's aunt died so I thought I better wait. I think I can do it this time...

I'm sure you'll do fine this time.  At least you know what to expect. I got a call from my PCP's nurse and she had to call them AGAIN today to have them send the results.  They have supposedly faxed it numerous times but the Drs office hasn't received it.   The doc had a very busy day today because of the upcoming holiday, so she said I should hear late this afternoon or tomorrow.  Well, since I didn't hear this afternoon, I BETTER hear something tomorrow!  lol   If I don't hear anything by 11:30 I'm calling again.

I FINALLY got my sleep study results today.  I do have sleep apnea.  I will have to go in for another sleep study to be fit for a CPAP.  That appointment is scheduled for December 29.  It will be a "split" study where they (I'm guessing) start me out without the machine and then start the machine midway through it and adjust it accordingly. The guy who did my sleep study last time said that they have cancellations all the time, (some w/ fairly short notice) especially around the holidays, so I'm on the list to be called if anyone cancels.  I hope I can get it done before then... Because, if I have to wait until that date, I'm going to have to cancel and reschedule :o(  I'm going out of town that weekend to see my nephew who is in the Navy.  He is coming home to Kansas City, MO from San Diego.  I CAN'T MISS THAT!!!  I"m so proud of him and can't wait to see him!

I DID IT!!!! I went back and did the sleep study again. They gave me something to help me sleep. It helped me to relax. They started out with the full mask. But I couldn't go to sleep with it. Then I got a really bad headache so he changed the mask to one that just goes over the nose and I was able to go to sleep then, And I slept the rest of the night. Now I just have to wait to get the wonderful c-pap machine to enjoy at home. Thanks everyone for your Help!

Congratulations, now you have that checked off the list. Once you get used to your machine (takes about 2 weeks) you will certainly feel more rested.

Good for you getting through that!  Now, it wasn't so bad, was it?  lol I just got a call from the sleep center here and they have a cancellation on Tuesday and asked if I would like to have it.  So...  I'm going to have my second sleep study Tuesday instead of Dec 29.  That is good for me because I hope to be out of town on the 29th and I didn't want to postpone it into January! Congrats to you and wish me luck! Dot

ROFL!!!  I don't see me having sweet dreams!  lol  I'm more nervous about this study than I was the first time!!  I know more of what to expect this time, but I'm nervous about the machine!  UGH I think I'm going to take my sleeping medicine sooner this time though.

The machine was my worse fear. But they let me get use to it first. They had to start the air first. I couldn't handle starting the air with it on my face it just took my breath and I couldn't breath. Once I got use to it I was fine. You'll do fine, just take your time. I wouldn't have believed that last week either.
