Tried to get an update on Luanne.

I tried.  But, once again, I was told that due to HIPAA and privacy regulations, no information can be given unless Luanne gave me a "code word". I did confirm that she was sent up to a room on the 8th floor, though, so I don't know if that's a good thing or not. I'll try again tomorrow. Cathy

I had no problem being let through to Sandy's room.  I called the regular hospital number and asked to be connected to her room (first and last name) and they told me her room number and connected me right away! weird...... I guess I'll have to give you all a code word "just in case" if anyone wants to check up on me.

They offered to transfer me to her room, but given that it was her day of surgery, I didn't want to call in there, in the event she was sleeping or not feeling so well.  Cathy  

Yeah, that's true.  I called yesterday and Sandy's day was Wednesday.  Her mom answered the phone and I asked if she felt up to talking and she said yes! I'm going to my cardio appt today and when I get home this afternoon I might try to call again because I didn't get to ask everything I wanted to because a nurse came in so she had to get off the phone. I want to ask if they have her drinking yet...  and if she's walking as much as she can! I've had two surgeries (c-section and hysterectomy) and I know how it is not fun to walk and cough and all of those things they make you do, but it is worth it! Dot*

I'm glad you're home and feeling 'ok'.  Remember that liquid lortab is your friend. Rest and walk.  Walk and rest. Use a heating pad for everything else. Cathy

thank you Cathy, i have been resting and walking , i am so sore at the port site   ooowwwww,,,but otherwise doing well ,,,,i think i did too much sitting up yesterday , so i will do better on that today ,,,,,Luanne
