UPDATE on SANDY!!

I surprised Sandy a few minutes ago by calling her!  I think she was glad to hear from an OKIE here at her her home away from home at OH!  Her surgery went well.  It didn't even last as long as they expected.  Said it lasted an hour 15 min.  Her hubby was worried when the doc came out early thinking something had happened!!  But, all the news was good!  She said she feels like she's been hit by a MAC Truck but that it isn't too bad (I think she said that for my benefit since I'm pre op!  ha ha) She hasn't had anything to drink yet, only ice chips.  They have done the leak test though and that stuff made her nauseated.  They didn't find anything immediately, but they have to dictate an official report before they start her on liquids.  When she was nauseated from the test, they gave her somethig to help it and it put her out for a couple of hours, so she hadn't been up long from her nap when I talked to her. She doesn't think she'll get out of the hospital until Friday afternoon and they booked another night at the hotel so they won't be driving home until Saturday. I'll probably call her again sometime tomorrow and talk more.  They came in her room and cut us short today...  I'll update tomorrow when I know more. I'm so happy for hre being on the losers side!!  WOO HOO for Sandy! 

Let her know that my thoughts are with her and that she has a fast recovery. Tell her to walk and drink when she can. It helps. Debra(crazyeights)
