Hi,

  I am new here just thought I would introduce myself.  I have had my first consult, just had it on Tues infact.  My dr is sending in for authorization.  I am hoping that it is a fast process, but from the stories I have read it might be some wait for me.  Can anyone tell me how to get a ticker??

I got my ticker to work.

Hi and welcome We have the same Dr.I had my surgery 4 years ago and am in his time out program right now. It depends on what insurance you have as to how fast you get approval. I got mine fast. Debra

Debbie from his office seemed to think it was going to be really quick, but I have read l lot of scary stores.  So I am hoping.  I should be getting a call back hopefully Tuesday. 

I hope it goes fast for you...  I have so much to do before I can even have my consult with the surgeon that I'm probably not even going to get to meet him one on one until at least February!!!  So, I'm not holding my breath at all! My timeline (so far) is like this: PCP visit  10-03-07 informational meeting 11-05-07 PCP visit 11-07-07 (requested PCP Support letter) Turned in prior WW and NutriSystem attempts 11-07-07  (66 pages in all) Cardio visit 11-09-07 Sleep study 11-09-07 PCP visit 12-05-07 Pulmonary visit 01-03-08 PCP visit 01-08 (date/time TBA) Psych visit 01-31-08 PCP visit 02-08 (TBA) 02-08  (hopefully) consult with surgeon Dot*
