Just saying hey

Hello All! Fairly new to this whole message board but really enjoy all the information. I tried getting involved with people one on one but had little success. So I thought I would try posting and just say hi. I was banded on August 23, so i'm a little under 11 weeks post op. I have had one fill and stupidly forgot to ask how much they put in. I have another one scheduled for December 7th, and i'm very excited. I work in the Newborn nursery at a hospital in Tulsa. I am looking forward to talking with all of you.  Sorry for the long post, Mollie

Hi Mollie.  Welcome to the board.  What a rewarding job you have.  I watch the nursery at church on Wednesday nights and the first Sunday of the month and love it so much.  I'm in the weight loss pre-surgery phase and hoping to have surgery before the end of the year.  Come here often so we can get to know you.  Have a great day.

Welcome Mollie.  And it doesn't really matter how much they put in, what matters is when you get restriction and that number (where you have restriction) might change as you lose weight.  So it's all good.  Congratulations on your new band!

Hi Mollie!  I'm glad you posted. Congrats on getting banded.  Have you been pleased with your results thus far (any restriction with your first fill)? I understand about getting involved one on one.  Sometimes it's hard for people to come out of their shell.  Hopefully you'll be able to join us when we have one of our "outings" one of these days! Keep posting and let us know how you're doing. Cathy

I've found the best way to get to know people best is right here on the OK board.  I haven't met anyone in person yet, but the OKC area peeps get together fairly frequently, and the Tulsa peeps do too.   I haven't been able to make it to any gatherings yet, but hope to soon.  I'll probably meet up with the Tulsa gang mostly, but one of these days I'd like for us Tulsa area peeps to get together and try to carpool, share gas money, and head down to OKC one of these days :o) Nice to see ya posting here! Hi Mollie  I'm Dr Gorospe's patient, too ;-)  I got banded on January, so far I had lost almost 80 pounds and I'm so happy. Are you coming to our support group next Monday?        My first fill didn't give me too much restriction, however it was a good time to practice my new habits and learn to eat slower.   hope to see you on Monday, Lis
