Pain in tummy
Hi everyone
I've been having pain off and on for about two weeks. Couldn't make an appointment until I had the money to go. Gas tolls and copays add up. I decided 2 days ago the pain was not going away and called for an appointment. I got one on Monday Nov. 5. I 'm scared to go because its been 2 years since I've seen Dr. Warnock, not scared of him but of what I have done to myself by not following the program like I should. I'm worried that it might be an ulcer. Has anyone had one and what kind of pain is it? I do know that I will need everyone support after I see him because he will put me on a 2 week time out program. Hope I can afford to buy enough protein products to last the two weeks.
I did make it through last night and the trip to Walmart today. I always buy tons of candy the day after a holiday. I only bought fruit rollup, animal crackers and pretzels for my granddaughters snack for school.
I swear I will keep this appointment and face my fears.

Debra, you have taken the first step by calling your dr. Don't borrow trouble until he has examined you and you know what to deal with then. Hopefully it isn't anything major. Is a time out period where they take all of the fill out or your band and you start over with liquids? Wal-Mart seems to be the place of choice in getting inexpensive protein items. Do you have a Walgreens near you? If so, look at their coupon paper in the store to see if the protein drinks like Boost are sale they are pretty good also. Take care of yourself and let us know what you find out on Monday. We are here for you.

Sorry for not stating but I didn't have a band. I had open RNY four years ago.
Tonya I have had heartburn again and haven't had that since my surgury and yes the bowels are acting up. Thanks to both of you for your concern. I just came back from the commissary and got two more bottles of Isopure. It cost $2.29 a bottle there and has 40 grams of protein in it so I drink half in the morning and half later since we don't absorb but a certain amount at a time. Will get a tub of some sort when I go to the dr. office. Hopefully he will have a sale on something. I do know on time out he only wants you to do Isopure or I think nextar. Will let you all know on Monday night.
Debra
Debra,
Hope you feel better soon. I get scared for some reason when going to the doc. Just remember, they are human too!
The first step in healing is admitting.
Also, ulcers do hurt - bad - but also, if you have a virus it can make you feel the same way. Have your bowels been out of sorts at all? Any puke burps?

Good morning,
Guess what, I am 6 month out and just got diagnosed Thursday with an Ulcer,
DR Warnock had me check into United Regional on Thursday morning, had a scope done and there it was…
Got some meds to take for the next 4 month, but I can tell you, till you get checked out you never know, it could be anything. I did some “goggle” searches on Ulcers and I had none of the signs they are talking about…go figure
Good luck, you know the good doctor will hook you up….
