How did you do this Halloween???
Well, Halloween is about over. The kids are done collecting their loot and after a big sugar buzz they're all nestled into bed.
How did you do?????? Anyone SHOCKED at what they ate or didn't eat???
Me? I'm not shocked at all. I had a hand full of mini tootsie rolls today. I knew I would eat them, and I did. I don't feel "bad" about it.
Last Halloween, I was too sick to even think of candy. I was making trips to the ER, just to be ignored and sent home - AGAIN!!
This year - I praise God for the desire to eat some candy!!!!!
All is well with me and my soul!!!!!!!!!!!

I had one of the fruit rollups that I passed out-I had planned to eat one and I did.
I'm trying to remember LAST Halloween and I really don't, but it probably involved eating a lot of snack size candies, maybe a cookie or two and not being very happy about it-in fact, feeling powerless. So this year is much better for me.
Well, I've sworn off all candy now. My sister-in-law and I made a deal with each other that we would both do better than what we've done lately. I'm really proud of her - she is doing her weight loss on her own and has lost lots of weight. And we all know how hard it is to do it on our own. She has worked so hard and is keeping it off. So, we're working together to lose even more!

I've got a thread started on the main lap board-I'm not going to "buy into the sugar fest" next year-I'm going to pass out something else and try to set a good example-without being a kill joy.
That's my theme for the rest of the holidays-Healthy Alternatives for All. Which kind of sucks because it's so much easier to make a couple of huge batches of fudge and hand them out to the neighbors for Christmas......bahhhh. Oh well, I'm committed.
