Update/Weight Loss/Nervous/Brochitis
Yesterday was my pre-op down in big D. All went well, I had three appointments which took all day. Good news is I lost 13 lbs. I finally got done at 4:30pm and drove home. I think I saw a total of 6 people yesterday and that doesn't include the staff that took my blood and did my EKG. I was asked to participate in a double blind study for my surgery. I said yes I would participate and signed on the bottom line. There is a 50% chance I will have a different staple in my pouch then most people out there. I think it was diamond studded or something... just kidding!! They say it is smaller than the "gold standard" one of 4.8mm.
I got to book the hotel for the week today since I didn't get to go to work. "Why?" did you say? Because I have bronchitis. Yep. Just to keep me on my toes - because I have so much I want to get done. I called my pcp today and told them I needed to see him right away. I had some tightening in my chest and my surgery is 7 days away. So I'm on a very high dosage of meds and then I emailed my surgeon with the news. I will be good to go for my surgery as long as I take all my meds. At this point, I really don't know how I feel. Not like I have second thoughts or anything - I'm just not Overly excited. I think a good word would be placid. (I know, I'm weird)
