What a beautiful Saturday it is here in the Tulsa area!!! The sun is shinning and the wind is gone (for now). I felt like I was going to be blown away the other day. lol  My girls are off to camp for the weekend. The boys and I have cleaned the house (yes, I've tought them to clean. Noah is dusting right now). DH is at wor****il who knows when. But he'll be coming home to a nice clean house and most of the laundry will be done by then too.  After lunch I'm going over to a friends house, she has coats that hopefully will fit my kids for the winter!! AND she is giving us a recliner chair. So now, we'll have TWO places to sit in the living room. (heehee, we moved here with NO furniture at all).  And my wow for the day....  Last night I went to WalMart and we ran into THREE different people that we know!!!!! Not much of a wow for you guys, but you see in July when we moved here we did not know one person. I HATED going shopping because I never ran into anyone I knew. It was soooo depressing going to WalMart and looking around NOT knowing anyone!!! I just sooooo longed to see someone I recognized! I missed home!! But now, now I am home. And I'm running into people that I know. And that is a great WOW for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a great wow moment.  I've chased dogs and cut toenails (dogs) and am workign a bit on the house.  First I'm off to buy a socket set.  Today I really need to regroup, yesterday was a bit of a fiasco, emotionally anyway.  But the weather is glorious and helps to restore body and soul.

Laurie, I understand completely.  My family moved to beautiful Colorado in 2000 and even though we were in our "dream" place, it was hard not to see anyone we knew.  We moved to a small town up by Crested Butte and most of the people were very tightly knit.  We began to get out there and almost 1 year exactly, I remember people would recognize us in the store or at a function (and knew our name).    So - good for you!!!  Wow is right.   Honestly, I can remeber the first time I was standing in Safeway next to the produce isle and someone said Hey, Sandy how are your kids liking it here....  It really is a big deal.  (or it was for me)  Enjoy the beautiful weather!!!

As someone KNOWN for not being domestic, it's a little known fact that I love the feeling of having the laundry done and I like the sound of the washer/dryer, etc.  Must be all those years of laundromats in the early days-I just really love and am grateful for my washer and dryer.

I agree today is just beautiful.  I woke up very early and have been going ever since.  Weigh****chers at 8 a.m., hair cut and sun glitzed, eyebrows waxed, groceries bought for the week, lunch prepared for my and DH, and a 30 minute wilderness walk at Stinchcomb with our dog and now I home making banana walnut bran muffins, and slow cooking bbq ribs for Sunday Lunch, and fixing to go start baked pork chops for dinner.  Where did all of this energy come from???? We will be keeping our 6 month old granddaughter tomorrow afternoon so that should be fun.  Hoping tomorrow is great also so we can take her for a stroll and get in my walk.  Hope you have a great weekend.
