I'm now 2 weeks post op...I'm feeling better, but not quite 100%.  I am longing for solid foods to eat like chicken, hamburger patty..etc.  Is it normal to still feel a little pain after RNY?  I was walking before...when is it allowed to start walking again?  I've lost 22 pounds! Right on!  But, without doing ANY exercise, I feel stiff and fear losing muscle weight instead of fat!  Any input?

Your surgeon doesn't have you walking yet?? Man, mine was like ASAP walk, walk as much as you can without bringing on extra pain. Walking helps clear your lungs and keep the pneumonia (sp?) from developing after surgery!! I was walking the same day of surgery and increased the amount every day after surgery. Definately call your surgeon and ask.

Check with your surgeon, but I bet you can start with easy walks now.  This is the time to listen to your body, if it says stop, either with an ache or just out of breath, then stop.  After healing is complete you can start to push yourself again.
