Just a repost and a reminder about tomorrow.  So far, we have five WLS patients going.  If weather is severe, we'll cancel, but I'll call everyone prior to cancelling.   Joining us are: Deb (and Prissy) wynotha Sandra Tonja (and family) Cathy (and family) It's not too late to join us.  We'd love to have more people on our trek.  Bring a light jacket (in case it's chilly) and water.  Also, your shoes will probably get dirty, so wear something comfortable. Here's the original post...  if you can come, please post and let us know. Tonja and I would like to extend an invitation to any of you who would like to learn to geocache. Please join us Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 p.m. for a truly remarkable hike near Lake Hefner.  As stated before, this provides exercise, but is so fun, you don't know it's exercise.  We'll start with a couple of easy ones.  Once you get hooked, we can do this more often. Oh, and if you have a GPS but don't know how to use it, bring it along...one of us will be able to figure it out.   If you don't have a GPS, don't worry...we can share. Meeting Place:  Murphy Park (see below)  It's on west Hefner road between Meridian & MacArthur.  Just pull into the parking area and we'll find you.  I don't know if a sign marks the park, but you'll see wooden playground equipment.

Please dress accordingly for hiking in a woodsy-type area....and make sure you have comfortable walking shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.   Oh, and if you're worried about "keeping up", please don't.  This is a self-paced activity and I don't plan on walking very fast.  Be prepared to walk about a mile, with stops as needed.  We'll look for about 3-5 geocaches within .3 mile radius.  Most of our route will be on dirt walking/biking trails, but some will be off-course.  Canes okay.  Wheelchairs not accessible for where we'll be.  Kids and spouses are invited/encouraged to come.  The more, the merrier  Please post and tell us if you're going to join us.  If you plan to, we can exchange cell numbers via PM, in case something comes up. Sprinkling rain won't stop me from geocaching.  Thunder & lightning does.  Questions?  Don't hesitate to ask.  See you Sunday!!  Here's what's in the area (we probably won't do all of them): N 35° 35.116 W 097° 36.558  GCHJBY  Mardi Gras OKC N 35° 35.059 W 097° 36.540  GCH4C1  That's Inedible! Speaking for myself, I can say that we had such a great time.  Weather was beautiful and it was great getting to meet Sandra & Wynotha, as well as seeing Tonja & Deb again.  We ended up finding 4 caches (maybe 5, I lost count) and walked probably 1.5 - 2 miles.   We traipsed over barbed wire fences, had to crawl into (and out of) a creek bed, cut through weeds that were nearly as tall as one of my sons, and found ourselves chatting like we'd been friends for years. I'm so glad we were able to get together for this "exercise".  We'll definitely have to do this again! Cathy

Let's do it again soon.  We could actually go back to the same place, I was so lost it would be like a whole new world.  After a brief nap Prissy is running around the backyard telling the other kids about her big adventure, very very proud of herself. I have pictures if it's ok to post them let me know-I can post them on the thread or on my page whichever is best.
