So how do I cook a horse?

Saute?  Broil?  batter & fry? I'm so hungry that I could eat one.  My fill on Monday has done nothing for my appetite (which I recognize is largely due to prednisone), but when I eat...there's no restriction at all. I've tried a turkey sandwich, a ham & cheese omelet, chili, mashed potatoes...you name it.  Tonight I'll try beef or chicken.  If I don't feel any satiety, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask for an early-fill.  I just hope that Dr. G will allow me to have one.  This is just plain crazy. ***sigh***  Cathy

How much time usually goes between fills?

Dr. Gornichec's standard is 4-6 weeks, but from what I understand, he's flexible if you're really needing something earlier. Cathy

Keep your chin up and  I think smoking that horse will help it from being to tough...lol.. call the doctor tell them all about it. as for hunger, try taking a walk when you want to eat.

If I walked when I wanted to eat, I'd be in Nebraska right about now.  Good idea, though...and the doc will be called today. Cathy

If you can eat it without getting stuck and you probably can, try beef jerky or turkey jerky. Lots of salt, but few calories and lot and lots of chewing.
