i am a born worrier
I have been worrying all weekend about this silly letter from my PCP, it is the last thing i need before being scheduled for surgery , i have been approved by insurance , i have had all the testing etc.....my original doc siad she would absolutely not support any kind of WLS , so i met with another doc i had been seeing for some colon issues, we discussed different things i could do to lose weight but he said if Dr. Gornichec said i was a good candidate for surgery he would support it and care for me afterwards. I guess my worry is that the weight loss attempts arent there and they might make me wait ,, any thoughts or feelings about this ???? Kim told me the surgery dept requires they have every document before scheduling surgery ,,,,,my thought is i have already been approved by insurance , will the lack of weight loss history be a problem,,,,or am i just worrying too much as usual

If insurance has approved it, you are probably worrying too much, but what if it IS a problem. You can get your previous doctor to release the records and your current doctor to write a letter of support. And then, you can honestly say you changed doctors due to the first doctors lack of support for WLS.
Just because that one dr. doesn't support it doesn't mean there isn' t support out there for it, and if the new doctor is one of their doctors too-what are they gonna say?
I think you'll be fine since you are already approved by insurance. My sister only had to write down what she had tried for the doctors office and they never even verified it. She HADN'T had ANY supervised diets. Her only diets were what she did at home (atkins and the like). I'd say it's more of a technicality than anything.
Of course, I'm new to this and don't know anything about your doctor, but I'd say your hardest battle (insurance) is behind you.
Good luck!
