new sleep study
so the sleep study office called me. said I have sleep apnea..I have to go do another sleep study with the cpap machine..I think they arey lying..I'm pretty sure they just like watching me sleep .
mouth open drooling..yeah I am pretty good at it.
on another note.. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ooooooooooooooooooooooo grumpy today...
oh meeting with dr g is this week ..first time meeting him..so color me nervous!
ICK - I hated the sleep study. How do you sleep knowing strangers are watching you?? It was a hard thing to endure for me... but then I got my cpap and THAT was impossible to endure!!!! I remember she put that Darthvader mask on my face and I just about went bonkers (claustropobic). She took that off and put on their smallest one and I still was freaked out with it. I ended up having to go online and find the smallest one possible (nasial air I think it was) UGH!!!! Even then I'd wake up in the night and it'd be on the floor cuz I'd wack out in the night and rip it off my face!!!
Boy was I ever so glad when I lost weight and didn't need that thing anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH - Dr. meeting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUGS
i had to have 2 nights of sleep study also ,,,, all i have to say is ...the drugs were the best 25 bucks i ever spent lol ,,,,,,,,,,,,for me , i could not use the mask at all it made my face hurt !!! so i have the nasal pillows one , it takes about 2 weeks to get a little use to it , but now i think i am sleeping alot better and definitely not as tired during the day ,,,,i just try to look on the positive side ,,,,,i am hoping when i lose weight i can say bye bye to my lovely cpap machine !!!! I was soooooooooo nervous to meet with Dr. G for the first time , when he listened to my heart he said it was just racing lol but it will be fine he is very nice and easy to talk to ,,, good luck , it will all be fine ...

I have never had a sleep study and don't even know what to expect if I have to have one. I have a hard enough time getting to sleep here at home in my own bed with my husband.
When he is away on business trips, I hardly sleep at all. I don't know how I will do it... Is it OK to take a sleep aid? Or would that mess up the results??
I got my health history paperwork that I have to fill out for Dr. Katsis' seminar the other day. I haven't filled them out yet. I did notice one of the sleep questions was about how many pillows I use.
Is this a trick question? lol Is it supposedly harder to sleep flat or raised up? I think I'm opposite of what most people would think. When my head is too high, it puts a kink in my neck and I feel like my chins (yes, chinS) are collapsing my throat. I feel like I'm being strangled. So, I sleep on one contoured memory foam pillow.
I guess that kind of makes sense because when you are doing CPR you tilt the head BACK to open the air ways...
Oh well. I'm just going to answer the questions truthfully and go from there.
