I can't believe it is here! One whole year gone...along with 84 pounds of the old me.   I'm just sitting here taking it in.   (5 Minute Lapse of Time) I never realized it would be this fast, easy and wonderful!  I never realized that my health would improve 100% and I would be a new person! I want to first thank my Heavenly Father...without Him...this would never have been possible!  Second of all, I want to thank my wonderful husband and daughters for supporting me through this journey and helping me find the real me that has been lost for a very long time.  Third...I want to thank my surgeon, Dr. Russell Gornichec...You are a wonderful surgeon and a wonderful person and you freakin' rock.  I could not have asked for a better person to perform my surgery - and am also thankful for your wonderful office staff.  Fourth, but not least...I want to thank all of you here on the Oklahoma board for being my friends and accepting me as I am.  I love you all and look forward to continuing to bring our friendships closer together! Happy Bandiversary!  Your success story has been very inspiring for me and for others as well and your insight as one a little further down the road has been invaluable.  I never knew the old you, but the new you is pretty fabulous!

Well, let me tell ya, the new me is a million times more fun!  I'm more positive...I try to find the good in everything...I smile more...I laugh more...I feel free...every day is exciting to me...I want to scream out to the world to just be happy (and lower the price of gas)...I joke around more...I actually show up in pictures, rather than just taking them...I finally feel sexy...I dance a lot more...I don't feel so self conscience when I am around others...I look forward to new adventures every day THANK YOU JESUS FOR THIS NEW LIFE! Honestly- a year ago would you have volunteered to show up first at a restaurant?  I know that's a lot of people's biggest fear (small or large).  I usually am the one who does it, but I was so glad YOU did it this time so I didn't have to be the one who sat there...... (The only reason I don't have that issue is because I taught myself to not be embarrassed-but that's just eating out alone-I don't know if I could sit at a table and wait for people to show up.)
