My sister reminded me that today is the fifth anniversary of the date of my Gastric Bypass surgery(the third of hers).  Time flies when you are having fun, I guess...Or when your life turns out to be the roller coaster that mine is...I have been through a lot in the past five years....When I think about time passing, I am reminded of a beautiful song.."Seasons" of Love".... from the musical Rent.... 525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee. In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life? How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love. Seasons of love. 525,600 minutes! 525,000 journeys to plan. 525,600 minutes How can you measure the life of a woman or man? In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried. In bridges he burned, or the way that she died. It's time now to sing out, tho the story never ends let's celebrate remember a year in the life of friends. Remember the love! Remember the love! Remember the love! Measure in love. Seasons of love! Seasons of love. How can I measure my life??? By the love that I have from my husband, children, family & friends...not by the pounds I have lost or regained, but by love!!! After finding out I have had Gastric Bypass surgery, people often ask if it were worth it, or if I would do it all again.  the answer has to be yes to both...If I knew then what I know now, well I would have done things a differently, of course....or at least I say that... I couldn't have made it through the last year, much less the last five years without my family and friends...I have learned in the last year especially just how much I needed them...... I whisper a prayer that the next five years brings only peace, joy and love to all... Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
"You have plenty of courage, I am sure," answered Oz.

"All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty."~~L Frank Baum
