HUNTING SEASON TRANSLATION-
Sandy gets to run the kids here and there, clean house, christmas shop, make "repairs" on house all by my lonesome until Mid-January 2008!! Its only fair you guys should have to endure camo too!! Between husband and 12yr old son - I have seen enough camo the last week - GETTING READY FOR THE BIG HUNT!!!
Laurie, I understand completely. My friend and I joke about it being hunting season and we can't wait and then towards the end we can't wait for them to be home. We have jokingly called February 1 the opening of Wife Season. Thats when our hubands have to work for us every weekend. Luckily I have a great friend that we do lots of things together while the guys are gone hunting. Our kids are the same ages so we take them places and let them have big theemed sleepovers together and stuff. I remember my daughter thinking it was funny that mom was going to spend the night at Sherry's house with her and her brother!!
October 1 was the opening of deer season with bow. Then in late Ocotber it will be with black powder and in November it will be gun then back to bow again until January!! Whew! I often wonder what he would think about me having a 6 month long sale at the mall or scrapbook store!!!hehehe.
O my ya need to do what I did, after 7 years of sitting alone from October to December I just decided to do as Bugs Bunny does--- "If ya cant beat'em then join'em"
I have been hunting for the last 9 years. I love the time spent with my husband and son. I love being a part of something my husband loves and has grown up appreciating. I enjoy being in the woods with nature. I love the respect hunters have for nature.
The only draw back is NO ONE can come to my house during rifle season because I hunt from dawn to dusk and my house suffers the consequences! Camo and gun cases everywhere and piled up dishes.
I think you should join your hubby and son. You might really enjoy it even if ya don't take a deer home.
Tell your son and hubby that my family wishes them happy and safe hunting and may they be blessed with a harvest.
