Plastic Surgery

Do you think you will want to have plastic surgery done after you have reached your goal?  I remember for a long time saying that I would not - but now that I'm getting closer to my goal, I realize that I would love to have the extra stomach skin taken off.  I know that if I were to have the extra skin taken off now (which I'm not ready yet) I could probably go down a few pant sizes. In 2002 or 2003 I had a breast reduction done and I have no regrets on that.  I love my ta ta's and they look great.  I would love to have my abdomen look the same way. Tonja

If I get there, I'll do it. Rather... WHEN I get there, I'll do it. ***sigh*** gotta get rid of the negativity! Cathy

It's already part of my plan.  I'm going to get the girls lifted and the tummy tightened.

I think I will too.   My mom had open RNY in 2004 and has had a tummy tuck & implants in.  She had some trouble with the breasts and went back in and had it redone, but other than that, she doesn't regret it.   My brother had mgb in Dec of last year and he just had a tummy tuck and what they call hip lippo a couple of weeks ago.  I think he is really pleased as well.  I know he says he will go back for the upper chest done soon, because now it just looks alittle ackward.  He is still loosing, but he was having so much back pain that they had to remove the apron he had.  I think they removed 19 # of skin off the tummy and who knows about the hips.  The "hips" are what I would define as "love handles"  I don't know why they call them - hips......  anyway - I figure, when it comes time I will have it too.

I have already been saving for PS after I reach my goal. I have had 3 Csections so I need a tummy tuck anyway.

I am not even close to even having wls done at this point, so it is hard for me to even think about plastic surgery right now...   But, I've wanted to have my breasts done for a LONG time, so I'm sure I'll still want that done.  At this point, I don't think I'll want implants, just a lift. I've also been considering (lately) getting permanent make-up.  I know that has nothing to do with wls, but how nice would it be to already have your eyeliner, brows, and lips done every day when you get up.  Just put on a little mascara and lip gloss and head out the door!   I think I'll be happy just losing the weight (what's a little extra skin) but I reserve the right to change my mind a couple of years down the road!  lol Dot*

I remember in the beginning of my journey I thought 'What's a little extra skin' but I am now realizing that I am worth it and I deserve this awesome reward.  And, the skin of my stomach just isn't shrinking back - it just hangs.  Basically - my kitty is blind folded - okay - not that bad - but thought it would be fun to say. I have talked about the facial inking with folks in the past and some have said 'well, what if the look/makeup trend changes' and my thinking is...I'm old enough that I am going to stay in the same routine with the way my makeup looks anyways - so what difference would it make.  My concern is just finding someone that would do a good job. I would love to also have something done on my legs and pits so that I would never have to shave again.  That would be freakin awesome!  I get sick of shaving my legs and a few hours later it's already coming back. I am (I believe) truly losing the weight for my health but appearance is important too.  It is not as important as society is telling us it is, but there are some good reasons for presenting a nice appearance.  Our bodies are our most initimate houses-we wouldn't let our porch roof sag, why should we let our kitty roof swing?  (Ok, I really just wanted to work that in some how). No one knows I've had the perm make up if I don't tell-but seeing one eye done vs. one eye undone, a little bit of liner reallymakes the iris pop compared to none at all.  If I were going for a dramatic, evening look I'd still have to apply eyeliner.  I did my lips in a darker flesh tone-it doesn't look like lipstick. but is has kept them from fading.  It's subtle, but it makes a huge difference because now I don't feel like I HAVE to wear lipstick, you can still see my lips.  I was in to Mt. Biking and Camping at the time-and it was nice to wake up and not look like a zombie (and make up in the Mt Bike camps is really a faux pas).
